Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Incredible time spent on our honeymoon at El Dorado Maroma. Staff were all so friendly and attentive. Food was incredible. Views were beautiful. We would absolutely love to come back here for an anniversary for instance - it is absolute paradise and we would recommend without hesitation. Thank you for such a memorable honeymoon!!

Review:   I booked an all inclusive package with this resort. When I arrived I was told that only guests could walk into the hotel. When I told the individual, his name was Angel, that i was a guest, he told me no I wasn’t. That only guests could walk into the Hotel. All in all, I wasn’t allowed to walk into the hotel to check in. I guess I didn’t look like a typical American with dollar signs on my face. This hotel needs to train their employees not to discriminate against their guests. So I was “homeless” for a few hours, but I was able to find a reasonable hotel near by. Horrible service by its employees. After I called the hotel manager I was hung up on several times.. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Review:   To start, the service and the people who work at this hotel our great. Each meal we had was delicious and almost better than the last. The drinks were well made and the bar tenders were quick to get them to you, you never had to wait for anything. The hotel used to sit on a very beautiful beach but they decided to add over water bungalows which are cool in theory but just have no real point in existing at this hotel. They had to make a fake reef and island to protect them. Neither of these two things are good looking. The beach before used to be open and beautiful. Now because of the lack of water flow there is a less than desirable smell that just sticks around the whole property. It smells of sulfur and by the end of the stay was making my wife and I feel a bit queasy. The staff said it was because of the seaweed but it could be because they have stagnant water on the property. We loved so much about this resort but it's hard to suggest with a lack of beach and the horrible smell.

Review:   We loved our stay here, tbh the beach alone was AMAZING. Clear turquoise water you can actually swim in.. soft sand and cabanas available for all. The staff have been fantastic, all so friendly and service has gone above and beyond. Today we came back to our room from an excursion to a bubble bath.. they truly go above and beyond. Every meal we’ve had is delicious... the drinks gave been great and I’ve never been treated so well. I would recommend it to everyone and would definitely come back. It’s been like heaven here! Thank you. If I HAD to choose a favourite restaurant it’d be the Mexican. And the guacamole here is the BEST. I’ve eaten a pound each day :’D.

Review:   I went for the lomas travel snorkeling. I liked the organization of the facilities at maroma beach and all of the staff were friendly and many were bilingual. The beach is beautiful!
