Review:   Recommended for: Couples on a budget

Pros: Melia is located in my favorite part of Nassau, Cable Beach. The Level Privilege Program at Melia has you feeling like Royalty as they will cater to your every need.

Cons: This resort is not at the level of Sandals, but is nice for those looking for a moderate resort that fits in their budget.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   I stayed at Meliá Nassau for my birthday with my boyfriend and it was beautiful. We got in very early 9AM and although the check in was for 3PM the receptionist was very friendly and helped us get earlier check in for no extra charge. While we waited we grabbed some breakfast from the Market Place where they had hot fresh food with a great variety. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive and are more then happy to get you anything you need. The pools are amazing as well as the beach and everyone is very friendly. They have plenty of options for water activities. Yes there are loads of children if you do not like children please pick a adult resort. Me and my boyfriend were living our best lives and we will not go back and forth✌🏽😎 the negative comments are over the top on some of these reviews. Highly recommend Meliá to everyone!

Review:   This was a very tough review to give because it really has two parts.. First, the beach area is really awesome. The water is crystal clear and the sand is white powder. The ability to snorkel off the beach itself is such a positive, and to have floats and kayaks off the beach was a nice feature. Second part, the lobby is very dark and needs a complete renovation. The rooms are not 4 star quality, but more like 2-3 star. The buffet was not up to 4 star standards and the overall restaurants were below average. But, the staff was friendly and eager to help in any way. It would be 4 star resort if they renovate the property, but until then it really is a 3 star resort.

Review:   Like many of you I was very nervous reading all of the mixed reviews before arriving at this resort. But I’m relieved to say my boyfriend and I had an amazing time!! The staff was friendly to us, rooms were decent and clean. The beach is absolutely stunning with crystal blue water and white sand. There is always some sort of entertainment daily both throughout the day and at night. The lounge turns into a little dance club and both kids and adults seemed to enjoy the music. Different themed days included Bahamian night was nice during my stay. Bartenders kept the drinks flowing and strong. Be considerate and tip the workers accordingly but it’s not required. We left the resort a few times to check out fish fry recommended by locals and the casino at Baha mar was fun. Take the bus down town or to fish fry it’s much cheaper than a cab and very safe. We did jet skis, tours etc and took advantage of the free floats and paddle boards included on the beach. Yeah the hotel is under construction but it doesn’t affect your stay. Overall I would recommend this resort.

Review:   A group of my family and friends stay at this resort in 6/18 -6/23. I can tell you my stay was amazing. From the food, entertainment, swim pool parties & the beach I had a blast. The resort is beautiful. The only thing I didn't like about the resort was the stray cats on the resort. Yes, they are friendly, but I just don't like them. I'm terrified of them. I couldn't eat my dinner outside. I always ate inside, because the cats come straight up to you and be all in your plate. Also, the tourist feeds them as well. ( please stop ) All in all. I loved the resort. I will return, but you gotta do something with them stray cats.

Review:   The beach is beautiful. They have nice pools and the drinks are free flowing. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Our room was pretty nice except that the air conditioning isn't working right. There's nothing worse than coming back from a long hot day at the beach or exploring Nassau and the room isn't cool! Also the bed is not comfortable at all! We woke up with our backs hurting and necks stiff. The outside of the building itself needs remodeled but that doesn't really bother me but they seriously need to improve the mechanics of the building.
