Whether it be for one night or an extended stay, every guest needs a home away from home. Heritage Auckland provides that and much more. Set within one of the city's most recognisable historic landmark buildings, the iconic Farmers department store building, it’s an Auckland hotel accommodation experience without peer.
We offer a range of accommodation options to suit every need and budget. Choose from two accommodation wings, the Hotel or Tower. Both offer everything you need to feel at home during your stay, and provide a level of comfort that sets it apart from other Auckland hotels.

At the end of the day, we all need to unwind, and the hotel features an outdoor rooftop swimming pool, gym and a floodlit tennis court with racquets and balls available for hire.
Feeling hungry? Hectors Restaurant is charmingly positioned under a canopy of palms, in the dramatic seven-storey atrium, and offers a delicious menu that highlights local produce.
Heritage Auckland are pleased to announce that for the added comfort of all guests, and in line with current market expectations, the hotel has been entirely smoke free since 2012.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Historic (as the name heritage says) building. Former Farmers building but has been a hotel for long time. As you move through the hotel you can see the old flooring, beams etc. The hotel signature restaurant "Hectors" (named after long departed cockatoo) is located inside the alcove made by the surrounding rooms. Famously is the Grand Tearoom on the 7th floor. Nowadays used for elaborate functions and events. The hotel added an apartment style wing about 20 years ago.

Review:   The Heritage is a very good base from which to explore Auckland. The Sky Centre is nearby where you can pick up the Explorer bus and visit some of Auckland's historic sites. Whilst in the opposite direction is a downhill walk to the ferry terminal enabling you to see other parts of the surrounding area. Also in this location is The Viaduct where there is an abundance of restaurants and bars. The Heritage Hotel is a very good hotel with great service and very helpful and friendly staff.

Review:   We had a work team breakfast at the Hectors Restaurant. The food is great but the buffet menu of $34pp is slightly overpriced.
