Moments from Knightsbridge, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park, in a Regency London landmark akin to The National Gallery, The Lanesborough offers 93 beautiful rooms and suites at the heart of the capital. Re-opened to guests in 2015 following a comprehensive and meticulous refurbishment overseen by designer Alberto Pinto, The Lanesborough presents bedrooms and dining rooms restored to their original Georgian splendour, into which the latest communications technologies and entertainment systems have been seamlessly woven.
The Lanesborough provides its guests with unparalleled service, from the moment they awake to the moment they go to sleep. The Lanesborough is known around the world for its butler service, provided to all residents, 24 hours a day. Your Lanesborough butler will assist with laundry services, wake-up calls, directions and any other enquiry with total attentiveness and discretion.
The concierge team extends every hospitality, attending to reservations, limousine transfers and making The Lanesborough and London feel like home. For families, in particular, the team will ensure everyone has what they need for an unforgettable stay, from necessities such as cots and highchairs to movies, games and luxury picnics. The only hotel guests in London to enjoy 24-hour butler service, they can also be assured the quietest night’s sleep, while remaining just a short walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and London’s most exclusive shopping district.
There are 93 guest rooms at The Lanesborough, including 43 suites, all stunningly furnished in the building’s original Regency style. The 18-month refurbishment of the rooms and suites was fashioned by the late doyen of interior design, Alberto Pinto. A host of predominantly British artists and master craftsmen using age-old techniques spent thousands of hours creating each unique ceiling, and applying ornamental plasterwork, stencilling, gold-leaf and hand-painted trompe l’oeil effects. Every trimming and finishing was made to measure. Furniture, fabrics, mirrors, carpets, wall coverings and beds have all been sourced from the finest British suppliers, to create rooms and suites of extraordinary quality and variety. All rooms are triple-glazed to guarantee a peaceful night’s rest.
Out of sight, within the finery and tradition, advanced technology offers fingertip tablet control of temperature, lighting, butler and housekeeping calls and the newest interactive entertainment systems, offering guests total control of extensive libraries of music and movies. Music systems extend through all rooms and flat screen televisions are disguised within automated, gold-gilt framed artworks.
The Lanesborough boasts several of London’s most distinctive settings for dining and imbibing under its roof. Under its own, dramatic glass roof, Céleste offers a dining experience par excellence, serving gourmet cuisine by executive chef Florian Favario that uses only the finest, freshest British ingredients. Between lunch and dinner, Céleste offers the quintessential afternoon tea experience, in a conservatory-style space filled with light, conviviality and the gentle accompaniment of a piano. The Library Room, distinguished by its displays of leather bound volumes and venerable Cognacs, offers the warm, intimate atmosphere of a private club. The Withdrawing Room is an inviting, exquisitely decorated retreat for an informal meeting or simply a relaxing drink with friends. The Garden Room, with its walk-in humidor, is London’s finest Cigar lounge.
