Naledi Bushcamp and Enkoveni CampExplore > South Africa > Kruger National Park > Naledi Bushcamp and Enkoveni Camp
OverviewNaledi sleeps only eight and fourteen guests at each of our superbly appointed camps respectively (Bushcamp and Enkoveni). Bushcamp is built on a hillside overlooking our own private plain, with a central waterhole that attracts a vast array of creatures, by day and by night. Enkoveni is built overlooking the MIGHTY Olifants River, watch families of elephants who have come down to bathe, lazy hippos surfacing for a yawn, a skittish herd of impala drinking nervously ... and listen for the cry of a fish eagle. Each of our suites is, equipped with the finest quality linen and towels, we have air-conditioning throughout and of course everyone gets an en suite bathroom! But at Naledi, we have such a great time planned for you, that apart from sleeping (and a nap in the heat of the day), you won’t find much time to be in your suite! Both our camps feature gorgeous swimming pools – perfect for a few hours of relaxing in-between going out into the bush. The Naledi pub is always open loaded with ice cold drinks from all four corners of the world – a wonderful spot to meet before dinner and swap stories till late into the night if you like! Of course we have fast internet facilities, viewing facilities for TV and video, and plenty of wild creatures actually live in our gardens and our trees, rivers and waterholes that form part of our property, so there is never nothing to do, nothing to see. And Best of ALL against any standard Naledi remains one of the most affordable Big 5 Safari destinations in Southern Africa. We run the lodge ourselves – we conduct every game drive and walk ourselves, we personally prepare and serve every meal, we ready each suite personally before your arrival – and by the time you depart, you’ll be part of our family too! Being on safari should be a total experience, the environment, the wildlife, the unique accommodation and of course every meal should be special and unique! That is the way we feel about it! We buy nothing from wholesalers, and we don't have a set menu. Instead we purchase all our ingredients ourselves, fresh from the markets. Every meal is lovingly prepared, beautifully garnished and expertly served-there are never less than three courses for dinner, and the same for breakfast. On our game drives, no pre-packs-home prepared delights, neatly packed picnic rather than a snack. Lunch, too, is a magnificent affair, and you're welcome to eat around the pool or on the viewing deck. The Naledi Pub is legendary for its wide selection, and it's bush atmosphere-plenty of ice, a wide array of wines and beers and plenty of time to enjoy!! At most lodges and in most reserves, you expect to drive by waterholes as part of your game drive, but waterholes and waterpoints are often the lifesblood of a wildlife community, and much animal and bird activity happens around them that you might never witness from a vehicle, nor do you get the chance to study behaviour or take great photos of smaller and less visible animals and birds. At Naledi we go one step further in ensuring you the ultimate safari experience: We'll pack a cooler box of your favourite beverages after breakfast, load in the bird book and the animal field guide and we'll drive you to one of our waterhole hides(blinds) where you can sit in complete safety and slowly become part of the environment – after a couple of hours, and in time for lunch and an afternoon nap, we'll come and pick you up – and you will have plenty of stories to tell, and lots of photos to share!! |
