Recommended for: Romance, Snorkeling, Beautiful Beach
Pros: Secrets Akumel Junior Suite Preferred Club Ocean View King: $4110.80 This is a beautiful brand new resort. I was here in December and these pictures don't do it justice. The best thing about it is the beautiful beach and the great snorkeling right off the beach. You will see lots of fish and even turtles. Non motorized water sports are also included here, they have glass bottom kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment. Its location is close to the mayan ruins of Tulum which are pretty awesome to visit. I priced the club level because you get nicer location on resort, private check in, preferred lounge and you can use it throughout the stay, they have afternoon hot and cold hors d’oeuvres Also, free internet in room. Cons: It is a ways from the cancun airport, maybe 1-1 1/2 hour. Probably about 45 min drive from the golf course. Green fees are included but cart, club rentals and transportation are not. I can see a round of golf costing you a few hundred with all that. But sort of like paying for an excursion. |
