About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Review:   Things that went wrong... Lights flickered twice during my stay. I had to relocate to a different room due to water coming in from the ceiling and wall above the tub. Also, when we met the staff pertaining to the leaks she said “O we were looking for you so that we can put you in another room”. How were you looking for me when you have my room number. The remote to the TV didn’t work and I inform 2 people before it was actually fixed. While taking a shower, water runs into the other room and staff told me this happens in every room (so I guess this isn’t a big deal). Buffet food especially breakfast was very bland. Too many people walking around trying to get you to purchase something. No light in stairwell (building 3). Stores on resort is expensive, wait to buy things off premises. Found out there’s free transportation to a shopping area. We had no idea about it until it came up during conversation. Diamond Club isn’t worth the upgrade. Keep your money. Telephones worked only 2 out of 7 days I was there. Before we changed rooms, the cleaning staff never replenished the coffee, sugar packets. There were 3 people in my room but housekeeping would leave 2 wash clothes and towels. I was nervous to speak to staff because I didn’t know if they were trying to sell something or just genuinely speaking. After relocating to a Diamond Club room, the next day I called to guest services because housekeeping hadn’t cleaned our room and it was 4:30p. I called guest services and they told me the time range is 8a-6p for room cleanings. (But yet Diamond Club suppose to be so great). Housekeeping forgot to leave extra tissue rolls for the bathroom and we waited at least 2 hrs for that.

Review:   Had a wonderful time. Service was fabulous, food was very good. Stayed in Diamond Club and was treated like a diamond. Room was nice but needs a little maintenance. I would definitely stay at another Royalton property.

Review:   Place looks good. The people here are very friendly, polite, and respectful. This is an adult resort so no rambunctious kids roaming around. The food is what you would expect from an inclusive resort, no special surprised here. Drinks are similar to other resorts. They have many restaurant options for dinner. They say you don't need a reservation but you should make one or you might wait a while to be seated. The pool is very nice but umbrellas are limited. If you don't here early and grab a chair with an umbrella you'll bake under the sun.

Review:   Chic Royalton Resort adult only is very nice. The staff are nice, professional, respectful and clean. The resort is well kept and the rooms are clean and beautiful. The pools maintenance are well kept therefore, it is very clean and beautiful. Housekeeping is outstanding. The foods are excellent however for some reason it's always cold. They need to use warmers to keep the food warm at the buffet. Unfortunately I cannot say much for the beach. If you love the ocean you may have a slight problem. It is always dirty and I've been here for the past two days afraid to go into the water due to how dirty it is with sea grass they do not have the proper equipment to clean the beach in the morning as needed. this is something they need to invest in. And it's very difficult to find change once you in the resort. I went to the receptionist they didn't have change, I went to the change counter where you can exchange money they did not have any change as well😫😫 finally one of the staff members had changed on them and he was able to help me out😁😁 and this is something they need to work on as well to make sure the customers have access to be able to change money if needed and also to be able to enjoy the beach.. over all it's a beautiful place to come to...

Review:   Don't come here if you want a relaxing vacation! This place is a mess. 1. Everywhere you walk there is someone trying to sell you something. They approach you when you try to go to your room and when you are laying out by the pool or beach. 2. Spa is horrible. I setup an appointment before we came. They quoted me the wrong price and we ended up being charged double. Then everything is broken. The hot tub, sauna, and steam rooms don't work at all. 3. Plumbing is awful! None of the toilets flush properly in any of the building and the water never gets hot. Luke warm at best. 4. Food was ok. Nothing special, but average for what you get at an all inclusive resort. This was my first trip to the Dominic Republic. Based on this experience, I don't think I will be returning.
