Le Guanahani is located on the northeast side of Saint Barthélémy, also known as "St. Barth." Christopher Columbus named the island in tribute to his brother, Bartholomeo, during his second landing in November 1493. Today, the just over eight-square-mile island is home to almost 10,000 people. Le Guanahani is nestled between Marigot Bay and Grand Cul-de-Sac, only two miles from Gustaf III Airport. The nearest international airports are on the neighboring islands of St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, and Antigua, which offer connecting flights with regional carriers to St. Barth such as Winair, St. Barth Commuter, and Tradewind Aviation.
