Overview
Discover the magic of Mykonos from a different perspective...on horseback!
Did you know that Poseidon, Lord of the Sea, was also lord of horses? And that ancient Greeks saw spectral white horses in crashing waves on the shore? Even nowadays, pounding surf and pounding hooves make an unforgettable combination. Add in the terrific untamed Greek scenery, and you have all the ingredients for the riding/swimming tour of a lifetime.
Your tour begins at the Mykonos cruise terminal with a scenic ride in the comfort of an air-conditioned car. Follow a weaving road to the amazingly tranquil parts of this normally very lively island, where you'll discover its true, often neglected, picturesque image.
High above sea level, you'll head north, where the undiscovered heart of Mykonos can still be found. Your professional English-speaking instructor will lead you through a spider web of unspoilt hillside trails and donkey paths to one of the most beautiful, undiscovered beaches on the island.
After about an hour, you'll reach the white sandy coast of Fokas beach, famous for its striking natural scenery. Here, you'll exchange your saddle for your swimsuit and relax in the water and on the beach while your horse takes a break. Following your cool down you will saddle up and return to the stables on this one of a kind experience.
