OverviewGlaciers, whales, and pale ales. Odds are you won't be returning to Juneau by cruise ship in the immediate future. With that in mind, help us, help you, pack your day with some of the best things to see in the area. Starting with a pick up at the pier we'll get you straight over to the famous Mendenhall Glacier. Covering 12 miles from its origin, you will have the chance to take pictures and observe one of the best known landmarks along the Alaskan coast. Take some time to explore the visitor center which will provide some insight on the past, present and future of glaciers in this area. Catch them while you can! Alaska is famous for whale watching and if their beers are anything like their humpbacks, then you are in for a real treat. Your captain and naturalist will lead the charge as you pass through Favorite Channel, Stephens Passage, Lynn Canal, or Saginaw Channel, depending on monitored whale traffic. With binoculars in hand and a great position on a small boat, you are put in the perfect environment for catching a gaze at one of the ocean's most majestic creatures. Historically the word "buzz" is often associated with beer drinking, but don't discount the rush you'll get from one-on-one time with mother nature. Just in case it isn't enough, we'll take you to the Alaskan Brewing Company anyway. As you enjoy complimentary tasting room samples, we'll show you Alaskan beer brewing at its finest. When tasting is over you will walk away with a complimentary glass to drink from at home. Please drink responsibly as we'd rather not have you seeing whales walking around the streets of Juneau. - You are asked to check in 20 minutes prior to your departure time. - Included in the price of the tour are onboard-the-boat refreshments including Coke products, bottled water, coffee and hot chocolate. A small snack of locally-caught Alaskan salmon spread on a fresh bagel will also be provided. Entry and tastings at the Alaskan Brewing Company are also included. - Please note you must be at least 21 years of age to enjoy this tour. - You must have identification to prove you are over 21 in order to participate in the tasting.
