Overview
It is not a rumor that your rumologist knows what he is talking about!
Why not combine the beauty of the water with the beauty of a local product? The idea of gliding on the water while comparing different local rums sounds great and it turns out the idea is phenomenal. Board a comfortable double-decker boat and find your way up to the top deck. There you will see an example of good organization for rum samples. Find your seat and settle in while the boat moves away from the dock, bringing you out of the fray and on to clear waters.
Your "rumologist" really knows his stuff and will tell you about the beginnings of Gosling's Rum, one of Bermuda's only exports. It is the most popular of the local rums and you will easily figure out why.
Your tastings will include Gosling's, as well as an introduction to the Dark 'N Stormy, a Bermudian favorite. You'll also want to try the Bermuda Rum Swizzle, which you can use to chase down some local rum cake. If you want, there is a cash bar below so you can continue to "test" your palate. All the while, you are viewing the beautiful homes along the coastline and listening to the history of Bermuda intermixed with the development of the rum business.
When your cruise is over, you will be relaxed and ready to party!
