At Aston Kaanapali Shores, you'll feel right at home the moment you arrive. This condominium resort combines the comfort and convenience of spacious suites with hotel-caliber services. Located on beautiful Kaanapali Beach, your favorite outdoor vacation activities - from sunbathing to swimming and snorkeling - are literally just steps away.

With a "home away from home" ambience on beautiful Kaanapali Beach, the 463-room Aston Kaanapali Shores blends hotel amenities and services with the casual lifestyle of a vacation condominium.

A choice of one- and two-bedroom suites, studios and hotel rooms make the 10-acre beachfront resort an ideal retreat for families, friends traveling together, couples and destination wedding groups. Guests enjoy the best of both worlds with pleasant places to share the day and cozy retreats for private time.

All accommodations are air-conditioned and feature WiFi Internet access, cable television and daily maid service.

Studios and suites offer furnished private lanai (balconies) with views of tropical gardens and the ocean, plus full kitchens complete with dishwashers for added "at home" convenience. Tasteful decor includes marble countertops in kitchens, and such tropical touches as rattan furnishings and Hawaiian artwork.

For more space and luxury, our beachfront Aloha and Penthouse Suites indulge with a wrap-around lanai for sweeping ocean views off the living area and master bedroom, and designer kitchen with upgraded stainless steel appliances.

An ancient warrior training ground and later a retreat for Hawaiian royalty, Kaanapali is as rich with culture as it is with natural beauty. Since developers selected this three-mile beachfront stretch for Hawaii's first "neighbor island" resort in the 1960s, it has evolved into a favorite tropical getaway that balances recreation and relaxation.

With its sunny West Maui location, Kaanapali is celebrated for its romantic sunsets with the islands of Lanai and Molokai as a backdrop across Auau Channel. Swimmable year round, the calm offshore waters welcome those into snorkeling, stand up paddling, kayaking and surfing.

Beyond the Kaanapali Beach Resort area, diversions run amok. Snorkelers and scuba divers can swim amid the abundant marine life in the crystal clear bays of Napili, Kapalua and Honolua. Honolua Bay is also a top pick among expert surfers drawn to its fast-breaking winter waves.

A five-minute drive south of Kaanapali is colorful Lahaina, where whalers reveled along Front Street in the mid-1800s. Preserving its spirited character while blending in contemporary hot spots, the historic port has a more laid-back attitude these days. Streets are lined with art galleries, boutiques and casual restaurants. And harbor slips welcome ocean lovers with catamarans, sailboats and fishing charters.

Situated on Maui's famous Kaanapali Beach, Aston Kaanapali Shores offers a beautiful setting for romantic weddings and vow renewals in paradise. The resort's expansive lawns, landscaped gardens and picnic areas are available on a complimentary basis for bridal showers, family parties and receptions.

Couples can exchange vows in the intimate garden gazebo. Or they can go barefoot on the beach with nature setting the romantic stage. Our on-site wedding coordinator is available to consult with couples and assist with the ceremony, including arrangement of pre- and post-events.

Destination wedding guests can let their kids play away at Camp Kaanapali while they lounge on the beach or stand up paddle in Kaanapali's gentle waters. While brides and bridesmaids are pampered at the resort's day spa, the groom and his entourage can hop aboard a Lahaina sportfishing charter or play a round on Kaanapali's championship golf courses.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   This place is amazing! it’s a down to earth resort that is perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the ocean (and at a very reasonable price for Kaanapali). Very friendly service, and very convenient location! There’s a grocery market across the street where you can get local fish and produce, cook it in your apartment and enjoy it on your balcony while you watch the sun rise / set over the ocean. Perfect island living.

Review:   Not a bad place overall. We had some issues with our room being dirty, loud due to construction. They moved us to a better room but it had ac issues. They did get that fixed. A little dated but not too bad. Staff is very nice. You won't be disappointed if realize it's just a pretty good spot. Not great and not bad either. Our new room was clean and ready to go.

Review:   We've been staying at Kaanapali Shores for over forty years (and we're not owners!). The property has kept up with the changing times. We love that it is not a huge resort where guests are merely room numbers. The staff, many of whom have been there over ten years, are so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to quickly respond to any request or question. The grounds are gorgeous, with amazing flowers. The rooms have new furniture and are well maintained, even all are owned by individual owners. We will continue to return as long as we are able.

Review:   Having a full kitchen and being able to cook for ourselves helped save on cost. There's a grocery store across the street that has a very good selection of items. There's no beach right out front but there are beaches a short walk away. This area is a bit far from some of the attractions so you'll need to rent a car but overall, it was a great value. It loses a star just because of its location and because some things could have been cleaner, like the carpets in the rooms that were stained.

Review:   Our unit is complete w balcony and a small but nice ocean view, close enough to hear the surf. There is only a postage stamp beach due to erosion, but plenty of beaches down the road which are public access. Four of us stayed in a one bedroom which afforded plenty of space. The resort view of palm trees, palm front umbrellas, hibiscus, birds, butterflies and tropical flora has a very calming effect. My only issue is there is no resource center for which to print boarding passes. Even is this technology led world, there are those of us who still prefer the comfort of paper.
