Overview

It is an ideal place for relaxation that carries a tropical ambience and lies amongst a lush garden. With a discreet elegance and a touch of Swiss quality that blends with an informal and joyful atmosphere, Capitan Suizo is an oasis where it is implicit that nature and animals are integrated with love and respect.

The 7 bungalows, honeymoon bungalow, 22 rooms and the four-bedroom-suite are spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated. Some rooms have air conditioning and others are cooled by ceiling fans. All rooms benefit from a balcony or terrace, overlook tropical gardens and face towards the ocean. With a freeform swimming pool, an internet corner, a gift shop and a fenced in parking lot Capitan Suizo has everything you need to comfortable relax and enjoy your beach holidays.

In the open-air beachfront 'a la carte' Restaurant, the chef Roland Brodscholl has been delighting the guests since the opening of the hotel with his fusion of European cuisine and tropical influence. A great deal of importance is given to fresh ingredients and cooking "a la minute". Over the years, the Restaurant has gained a distinct reputation in the region. During some days of the week the restaurant offers live-entertainment with marimba music and folkloric dance groups. During the dry season the restaurant hosts BBQs and private candle light dinners on the beach.

Playa Tamarindo is one of the most beautiful beaches of the pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is situated adjacent to "Las Baulas Marine National Park", which is one of the most important nesting places on the planet for the giant Leatherback turtles. These turtles are the biggest kind of sea turtle in the world.

In recent years the village has become one of the most popular seaside destinations of the country and has experienced growth and development. Therefore, the village offers the accommodations you need to enjoy unforgettable holidays such us a domestic Airport, a variety of boutiques, restaurants and bars, as well as bakeries, supermarkets, car rentals, banks, excellent doctors and pharmacies, two Spanish schools, real states, beauty salons, gym, etc.

Due to the fact that Tamarindo Bay has some of the most tranquil currents of the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica and therefore considered as one of the safest beaches, it is ideal for swimming and other water sport activities. The place is excellent for kayaking, surfing - or boogie-boarding, snorkeling and diving. Sailboat and catamaran trips are also available. They offer special Sunset-Trips in which one can often enjoy spectacular and famous sunsets of this bay. The surrounding areas of the village are great for bicycling and horseback riding. Golfers can benefit from two beautiful 18-hole golf courses only 20 minutes away from Tamarindo.

Several tours are offered to protected areas such as boat trips into the estuary of the Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge where nature lovers can enjoy this natural paradise. Trips to nearby national parks, like Palo Verde, Rincón de la Vieja, Barra Honda and Tenorio National Park, among others are daily organized.
