Overview

The Grotto Bay Beach resort sits on a lush tropical estate featuring dramatic caves and acres of woodland preserves along the waters edge in Bailey's Bay. Scattered over 21 acres and sloping down towards the waters edge and three private beaches are 11 brightly colored, cottages in traditional Bermudian architecture overlooking the turquoise waters dotted with small islands.

The Grotto Bay Beach Resort is a full service resort with 201 rooms in 11 cottages. All rooms are newly refurbished and renovated. Rooms are furnished with custom designed traditional island furnishings and feature a marble bathroom with a traditional pedestal sink. In room amenities consist of a coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, refrigerator and a safe. Internet connectivity is also available for your convenience; lite web surfing is complimentary and streaming or downloading has a nominal charge.

Superior rooms are the first floor rooms, while the Deluxe rooms are 2nd or 3rd floor. All 'Ocean Front' rooms are located along the water front; 'Ocean View' rooms are on the top of a ridge that features fantastic views.

Dark wood floors, fireplaces, antiques, tropical colors and spectacular views from every room make the Great House a great place to relax and mingle at the Rum House Bar or have an exquisite meal in either the Hibiscus Dining Room or the Palm Court Dining Room. After dinner, enjoy the warm tropical breezes on one of the terraces surrounding the Great House.

Refresh in our blues, swim on our private pink sand beach, bathe in our fresh water pool, or languish in our outdoor jacuzzi surrounded by gardens above the beach; sail, snorkel, wind surf, dive ancient wrecks or explore our delicate and beautiful coral reefs. Take a boat cruise, on a sunny afternoon or during a glorious sunset. Play tennis night or day, or work out in our exercise room. We're also conveniently located within five minutes of two of Bermuda's finest golf courses, should you wish to hit the greens. In addition we offer an extensive Activities programme for children and adults, offering a daily schedule of fun-filled things to do. Children can be entertained in our Children's Programme, while parents take some well-deserved time out, or families can have fun together and join in "the games".

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Visited Bermuda in January which is their winter and temperatures were in the 50s, 60s and the island was not crowded and neither was the resort, so that was good because I couldn't imagine what it'd be like in the summer at peak tourist season. The room we stayed in was ok, but the bathroom reeked of pee - I don't think they can get that smell out, it's just part of the place now, gross. We decided to purchase the all inclusive package after we arrived to avoid going into town for meals every single day. By the end of our stay, I was tired of seeing the same menu. Our meals in town were really good though. I don't think I'd wanna stay here in the summer, but we had a nice experience.

Review:   Beautiful views and a very relaxing atmosphere. We have a tasty lunch at the cafe/bar down by the pool and beach. You can swim in Cathedral Cavern, a wet cave on the resort property or treat yourself to a full spa experience including massages in another cavern. A truly unique experience.

Review:   Great vacation at Grotto Bay. The view is gorgeous, close to the airport. The conceirge will help with absolutely anything you need to plan. The cycle shop will drop a bike off right here and you can explore the island easily from this location — Or the bus stop is right across the street. The food and service were so so good. I would definitely recommend the all inclusive, just with a few drinks and eating three meals a day it will be worth it. Try to be there for both buffet nights - Monday and Thursday. Also includes kayaks, snorkeling that is all right there. Rooms have great views and very clean with good housekeeping daily. Good for adults only or families. The best part was definitely the couples massage in the cave - amazing!!

Review:   This place has an excellent location! 5 minutes cab ride from/to the airport. The hotel atmosphere, cleanliness, food & service is recommendable! This property is excellent for travelers who wants to enjoy having the pool & the beach without walking outside of the property to get to the beach.
