About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Fantastic location being close to the town center. The staff from the hotel where very friendly and helpful. Rooms were tidy and clean but definitely showing the age of the premises. Being winter we needed the air conditioning to work but sadly it did not turn and being 3 degrees outside I did not sleep too well. The other downside was the noise of other patrons walking and talking in the corridor was extremely loud, you could quite easily hear the what they were talking about. Unfortunately this will be my only stay at this hotel.

Review:   Rooms were comfortable but a little bit warm. We could hear our neighbours through the wall as there was a door to the adjoining room, which wasn't ideal. Overall however, it was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and did a good job. We didn't have time to use the thermal heated pool but would have if we had the time.

Review:   Excellent service, lovely clean place to stay. Very flash for some one like me lol. Staff were all lovely and the spa pool was very clean and nice too. The car park wasn't far from our room so was great to not have to go too far. Great room service too.

Review:   First off the staff were all super friendly. The location was excellent and the parking was good. From there it goes all down hill. We booked a 'superior ' room which was a small ground floor pokey room with no view at the back of the hotel and very close to a very busy main highway. The windows aren't doubled glazed so it was very noisy. We asked to change rooms so we had a view and we were told that these were the best rooms even though we could see rooms with balconies and lake views. Great staff but the rooms were a let down would not stay again sorry
