Review:   Recommended for: Foodies, familes, honeymoons.

Pros: We have stayed at this resort twice. I love the welcoming staff, they really will do everything that can to make your stay pleasant. Resort view rooms may have a partial ocean view, when your are on the balcony, no need to pay for an ocean view if you want to spend your money else where. Rooms are very comfortable, bedding is soft, sheets and towels are high quality. Bathrooms have tubs and separate shower. Very bright feel, the fire pits are a great gathering place anytime of year. The food is outstanding, bacon and eggs still hot when they come to your table. Even ordered rooms service and had hot food. I don't have any complaints on the food or drink quality. Hyatt Ziva is pretty property and right next to Hyatt Zilara, great for mixed family reunions, some want quiet side and adults only, can still easily dine and paly with the family on Ziva side. This property is close to the airport, so there is no need for long rides once you arrive. It is still far enough away that no airplane noise is heard to disturb your vacation.

Cons: If you are a beach lover and want to walk endless miles on the beach, you will not like this beach, its is very nice, not as big as some on the island. Beach has nice protected coves so you can use the watersports, only about a football field long, then there are impassable rocks. When completely full there are longer lines (30-45 minutes) for dining, they are expanding dining options which should help that problem.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   This resort is truly amazing. I should have posted this review right after the vacation back in November 2016. Anyway it does have a five star rating which is well deserved. Upon check in we were greeted with refreshments. Check in was easy however the rooms were not available right away. That was not a problem though as we had access to other amenities so we went to eat then went to the beach. The room was clean and modern with a large bathroom, a separate bathtub shower and toilet. The food was delicious with a great variety of food choices. There was day and night activities and shows, very entertaining. There were several Jacuzzi's on the resort that were never overcrowded. Staff were friendly and attentive. My overall experience was excellent we plan to return very soon. Highly recommended thumbs all the way up!!!!!

Review:   This place was AMAZING! We can't wait to get back. Everyone was so welcoming. The turndown service was a nice touch. We enjoyed waking early to sit on the patio and watch the sunrise. The nightly shows helped us relax even more while eating dinner.

Review:   Was a pleasurable stay. The rooms were always tidy and the service great. ALL INCLUSIVE really meant all inclusive. The workers too time in getting to know your family, your favourite drinks, and suggested spots around the island you'd enjoy.

Review:   My second visit to Ziva, the family section of the Hyatt Ziva and Zilara hotels. I have mixed reviews. Honestly the property and overall experience was good, but there were some inconsistencies throughout the experience. For instance the hand gesture most of the staff does to indicate 'Service from the heart'. It was cute, but not everyone did it. As an adult I wanted to be told that the adult side of the hotel was openly accessible to me, which it is, but it felt like it was partially OK to go over there, so I went over with hesitation every time. The positioning of the security guards is also interesting, and how they appear on the property. They made me feel like I would be stopped any minute, though they were polite. Things I really liked include the foam party at Zilara, the food was good and the pools are many and quite nice. There is a Michael Jackson review that was def entertaining. The entertainment staff is nice, but overall something is needed to connect everything together that is missing, but overall a nice experience. I'd recommend it if you have never been. Can't say I have to go back.
