"Had half a dozen trips set up through Piper before COVID hit. She has been a champ with cruises cancelling, flights changing, cancelled plans, rescheduling, etc. Have rebooked several for next year and she is always happy to help and very detail oriented. Recommended for: Families with small children, couples, water enthusiasts
Pros: While the negatives outweighed the positives in our experience, the pre boarding staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to recommend local places to grab a coffee and had a photographer to take pictures prior to boarding.
.
Cons: While the pre-boarding service was friendly and knowledgeable, the on board experience was a nightmare. Treated like a cattle call, the crew was very short in temper and more often just plain out rude. In regards to dinning, a full lunch is offered at $20/person on their sister ship when you arrive at Green Island. Should you need a snack before then, there are beverages and snacks available for purchase on the ship. However should you have food restrictions, be prepared to have to deal with a staff who doesn't know what is in their food nor was willing to go check with the appropriate sources to verify. Mind you, I had previously emailed in advance to confirm our food allergies could be accommodated. In regards to activities, the choices of snorkeling and the glass bottom boat are included in your tour costs. However, there are more options (helicopter ride, etc) available at additional costs. We selected snorkeling and the rude service continued when asking a recommendation for interesting snorkel sights. The response of "if you don't see a turtle there, you must have been snorkeling with your eyes closed, or you're just blind" should never be given to a guest. Upon arrival at the island, the service continued to decline. While relaxing on the beach, a piece of our snorkel equipment was stolen. When asking for a lost a found or any assistance, no one seemed to want to assist us. Finally a third party, dive shop came to our rescue and replaced the piece free of charge. While getting a snack at the food court, the attendant closed the pull down shop front on my boyfriend's head, causing an injury. However not even an apology was given from the lady, and a separate employee had to come with ice. Our full day tour with Big Cat Cruises to Green Island was the biggest disappointment of our entire trip and is not recommended.
