Explore new meeting the old as you stroll through the cultural heritage of Hvar with your personal guide. One of the sites you will visit on this history-rich tour is the famous Cathedral of St. Stephen. This spectacular church stands on the far end of the main town square called Pjaca. The present cathedral, built on the site of a 6th century Christian church, is the work of local masters and is a perfect blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. Snap some pictures of its 17th century bell tower which showcases the most memorable piece of architecture in town. Your walk will continue through narrow streets which reveal numerous monuments dating back to the 13th century. If you are somewhere known as the "island of Lavender" it only makes sense to find out if it deserves the namesake.
