Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   For a seven night stay in a deluxe suite, the price was great. Service and facilities were amazing and professional. Parking is well organised, ample and free. The restaurant has great food and a huge range for the breakfast options. I would be happy to recommend people stay here and I will be back!

Review:   A typical older hotel room but it is clean and decent. It is on the hill so our family room has a nice and decent view of the hill. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the town and it is a pleasant and easy walk. There is also a bus that stops in front of the hotel if you do not walk uphill back to the hotel. For a short term stay, this hotel is recommended.

Review:   The hotel is dated and has no view at all unless you are on the restaurant balcony. (Misleading hotel description) The first two times they didn’t clean our room I thought they were doing a full clean every other day. Today I come back from a long day to find our coffee cup and breakfast bread still on the bench, room not vacuumed again and bathroom not cleaned again. The restaurant food is okay but portions inconsistent each time. When I asked about if the kids fish batter contained dairy as my kids are allergic, they came back to offer grilled fish and charged $38 per child! We found out days later that they weren’t any allergens in the $9 fish and chips after all. The cocktails are terrible. Mulled wine taste like microwaved wine and hot toddy was luke warm. Most importantly, my son’s favourite stuffed toy disappears from our room and they cannot care less. We ask everyday and all they can say is housekeeping hasn’t seen it. Staff are no good at resolving problems nor do they care that much, just going through the motions. Do not recommend.

Review:   Just a room. Comfortable beds and nice decor, but not outstanding. Bathroom leaves much to be desired, the shower spreads the water widely even with the extra long shower curtain and the floor remains wet from the shower for some time. I ended up with wet socks on my journey to the toilet the next morning, many hours after I'd showered. Not ideal. Layout of the hotel is somewhat confusing, found myself getting lost as I moved around. Food was delicious but with long waits between being seated, having the orders taken and the food then arriving. Same with coffees for breakfast. To be fair, I was seated with a table of 10 guests, but other restaurants had managed this size group much better time-wise.

Review:   Great customer service and friendly staff. Room was well presented with modern facilities. Super comfortable beds! Free parking below the building. Shared washing machines and driers available for $2. Free wifi also with good strength to bedroom. Views from hotel are amazing over looking the lake. This is our second time here and will stay here again. Reccomend to anyone
