Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Just a room. Comfortable beds and nice decor, but not outstanding. Bathroom leaves much to be desired, the shower spreads the water widely even with the extra long shower curtain and the floor remains wet from the shower for some time. I ended up with wet socks on my journey to the toilet the next morning, many hours after I'd showered. Not ideal. Layout of the hotel is somewhat confusing, found myself getting lost as I moved around. Food was delicious but with long waits between being seated, having the orders taken and the food then arriving. Same with coffees for breakfast. To be fair, I was seated with a table of 10 guests, but other restaurants had managed this size group much better time-wise.

Review:   The pictures on the web mislead the appearance of this hotel. Its much older than it appears and needs renovating, especially the carpet which was stained and the appliances which are very out dated. The lake view room has amazing views however we could not get past the interior of the hotel.

Review:   Pros: comfortable bed and convenient parking. Generally good attentive staff. Cons: Outdated decor, average breakfast buffet, pool is not very nice. Would stay again but not fussed.

Review:   A fantastic experience from checking through to checkout, the staff, the service and the facilities were excellent, the only area that could use a refresher is the pool/spa and would be great if the hotel restaurant served seafood platters. Other than that, highly recommend. P.S. The view fromt he room was magic!
