Today, embark on a special voyage from the port city of Cadiz to Seville (locally known as Sevilla). Your adventure begins with a scenic 1.5 hour drive through the famous white villages up to Seville.
Seville holds charm around every corner so make sure to keep your eyes and cameras ready. From the fashion to the lemon tree lined streets, Seville truly is a photographer's dream.
The late morning and early afternoon will include a walking tour through the old city. The Santa Cruz neighborhood is the former Jewish Quarter know for its rich history, cramped streets, flowered balconies, richly decorated facades and hidden patios. You will be happy you have a guide during your time navigating this labyrinth.
Next, we will enter into the famous Cathedral and Giralda. The Cathedral itself is officially the biggest in the world by volume. Directly next to the cathedral, take in the towering Giralda. This bell tower is one of the best known in Spain and its architectural influence has reached global levels. The weathervane at the very top is how it earned its name.
Across the plaza, you will move onto the Alcazar - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This former Moorish Palace holds amazing gardens, patios and many, many rooms to explore. It is the oldest palace still used in Europe!
Before heading back to Cadiz, we will indulge in some tapas for lunch - look for the restaurants with the "dirtiest" floors as those are the best!
