Located right on Laugavegur, Reykjavik's main shopping street, where the city is at its most vibrant. The hotel offers the perfect location for exploring the historic center, shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, nightlife and all the main city center attractions.
Laugavegur is one of the oldest shopping streets of Reykjavik. The name translates into „Pool Road" and it got its name as it used to lead to the hot springs in Laugardalur „Pool valley" where the women took their laundry in the old days.
Today, Laugavegur is hustling and bustling with life and is truly Iceland's major commercial artery, holding the main shops and a vast variety of cafés, bars and restaurants. Icelanders are very creative by nature and as a result of that Laugavegur has numerous small local stores selling clothing, art or jewellery from native designers.
