Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The resort itself is great. With two pools and easy access to the beach it is an awesome place to relax. We had a bungalow and loved it. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because the staff in the restaurant do not seem to care about service. The food and drinks taste great but that's only when they get to after awhile and correct. Now knowing that I would still stay here again.

Review:   Location... Location... Location... Fantastic if you prefer a clean, sandy, quiet beach to relax and go for a walk. BUT the resort facilities are outdated... The main reason for only a three star rating. Bathroom shower had caulking peeling away and water leaked from shower door. Charming decor for some people... Not me... Pillows were like pancakes... All this being said, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Review:   Nice area but a bit dated. Buildings look a bit older. We never stayed there but came there to do the outrigger canoeing. You need to try this since it's a lot of fun and the staff were great. We had Cord and Melody and they are very accommodating and friendly. The 5 Stars are for the Canoeing and not for the resort.

Review:   Everything was great. The views are breathtaking. Amenities are fantastic. I am not giving 5 stars because building could use some updating. The drain in my shower was sooo slow, and the grout is moldy in some places. But, my biggest frustration is that these people are in the service industry and when they want bigger tips they pull this card but they're not friendly AT ALL.

Review:   We had rooms booked with the Kaanapali Ocean Inn today, but when we arrived the rooms were a bit warm because the AC wasn't working well. We went to talk to management about upgrading our rooms because we checked their prices on the hotel's website and saw that the cottages were only $20 more per night. The woman at the front desk checked about upgrading with her manager and the manager was kind enough to give us a free upgrade. They even let us check out the cottages beforehand. Seriously, such great service! The cottages are cute and quaint. You can tell they were built a while ago--probably in the 70s--but they are nice and clean, and the AC works well. Also, the bellhops and all of the staff we have worked with have all been helpful and kind. Seriously, thank you for making our short stay here great!
