Calling all shutterbugs! Grab your camera and get ready to brush up on your photography skills, then show off what you've learned by shooting some amazing images!
Guided by a professional photographer, who is also a local resident, your tour begins with a basic photography and digital camera lesson, including exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, composition, basic portraiture, and more.
This urban experience on the north side of downtown Vancouver will visit the popular sites around the Convention Centre and Canada Place. We’ll take in the downtown cityscape, and walk along the waterfront for spectacular views of the marina and the mountains of the North Shore. As you take in your surroundings, your guide, who is also a local resident, will discuss motion photography, architecture, and modern photographic techniques.
- Please note that this photowalk starts at Canada Place. Best to consult with your hotel for appropriate taxi costs.
- Participants will get more out of the photowalk if they own a DSLR, but a point-and-shoot digital camera is fine. If you are interested in renting a DSLR camera please indicate this at the time of booking. The cost is $20 dollars paid on the day of the tour. Your pictures will be e-mailed to you.
- Please wear appropriate clothing, including comfortable shoes.
