Half Day East Grand Cayman Open Air AdventureExplore > Cayman Islands > Half Day East Grand Cayman Open Air AdventureOverviewStay out of a stuffy bus on this small group tour that delivers alot of culture! A certified guide and a group of no more than 8 passengers make this the perfect way to explore the island! If you’re looking to experience a more authentic version of Grand Cayman, climb aboard one of these customized Land Rovers where your professional Caymanian guide will whisk you away towards breathtaking views of the eastern side of the island. Venturing to areas that most big bus tours skip, your open-air Land Rover will transport you to the spots that make this island so impressive. On this tour, you are guaranteed to hear, smell, and taste “the real Cayman.” Among the stops on this tour is Pedro St. James Castle, the oldest structure in the Cayman Islands. This building has seen a lot of history and is known for being the birthplace of Caymanian democracy and the site on which the 1835 Slavery Abolition Act was read. For a taste of Cayman’s diverse ecosystems, your guide will show you around the Botanic Park, home to the Blue Iguana Habitat. Blue iguanas are native to the island and considered endangered, and this exhibit offers you a rare opportunity to glimpse these stately lizards. And no trip to the east side of the island is complete without a stop at the Cayman Blow Holes. This natural phenomenon occurs when trade winds force crashing waves into underwater caverns, sending geysers up to 20 feet into the air. Not to be missed! - We recommend you bring a hat, sunglasses, sunblock, camera, walking shoes and comfortable attire. - This excursion requires a minimum of 4 passengers and takes a maximum of 8. - This excursion is not wheelchair accessible. - You must be able to walk and climb stairs unassisted. - This tour does not operate on Christmas Day.
