Bermuda is more than just beautiful beaches!

This tour includes:
• Round trip transportation from the cruise ship pier
• Public ferry cruise through the Great Sound
• Escorted walk through Queen Elizabeth Park
• Bermuda Anglican Cathedral
• Flatt's Village
• Verdmont
• Warwick Long Bay

Given Bermuda's location in the Atlantic, travelers are often surprised to learn that the island is more than just inviting beaches and is rich in history dating back to the 1500s. With all your transportation taken care of you will be able to make the best of your time on the island while exploring this historic Bermudian oasis.

You will be met by your guide right off the pier and begin a walk through the historic Royal Naval Dockyard on your way to the public ferry. Your final destination will be the Hamilton Harbor, but don't get too far ahead of yourself as your 30 minute ride takes you through the Great Sound which reigns over the southwest of the island chain. Many islands off the mainland will catch your attention as you navigate through the sound and into Bermuda's best known district.

Once off the ferry in Hamilton you will begin with an escorted walk through the local favorite, Queen Elizabeth Park. Keep an eye out for Bermuda's oldest limestone Moongate which is said to bring good luck to those who pass through it. After exploring the gardens and sculptures you will hop in an air conditioned vehicle to explore the rest of Hamilton. Bermuda's capital city and financial center.

One of the most famous landmarks in all of Bermuda is the island's Anglican Cathedral or "Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity." The present day church is the third on this plot of land since the 1650s and was finished in 1905. With an ornamental partition, stained-glass windows and elaborate carvings you will soon see why this is considered the gold standard of the island's architecture. If you think you are in good enough shape feel free to scamper up the cathedral tower's 157 steps for a panoramic view of the city.

You will move from Bermuda's capital to one of its earliest settlements, Flatt's Village. Frequented by Mark Twain in the early 1900s, the Flatt's has transitioned from a den for smugglers to a yacht filled harbor lined with picturesque, pastel colored houses. A stop at the Verdmont museum will provide a perfect look at the area's culture if you decide to go inside and explore. With the collection housed in a three floor Georgian manor you may be satisfied just exploring its grounds and the stunning views it provides!
