Catalonia Puerta del Sol (formerly Catalonia Moratín) has outstanding personality and is located in the centre of Madrid, a few metres from Puerta del Sol. Built around an interior courtyard, the rooms are furnished with all the complements and services required for our clients' satisfaction. Its unbeatable situation makes the hotel a safe bet for enjoying the wide range of cultural and commercial options on offer in the city. It also has a restaurant, foyer bar and hall.
Our restaurant is a spacious area designed to welcome all our guests in the morning with a large buffet. Breakfast includes a selection of fresh fruit and delicate pastries. The savoury section is completed with fried eggs and bacon. You can also enjoy a selection of home-made flans and cakes. Our buffet always includes: bread with tomato (typical Catalan dish) and potato omelette.
During dinner, we offer a seasonal menu. The search for perfection is a constant feature of all our dishes.
Relax in our elegant, friendly foyer bar. With lighting from the glass-covered dome of the hotel's interior courtyard, this relaxing area allows guests to enjoy the 18th-century architecture while they take a soft drink, a coffee, etc.
The group of museums of Madrid located in the area of Paseo del Prado are known as the Art Triangle or the Golden Triangle. The three vertexes of the Triangle are Museo del Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and Museo Reina Sofía. Paseo del Prado is a former boulevard between the city's historical centre and El Retiro Park.
