Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Construction outside our window was LOUD and kept us up during the night. The area is primarily massage parlors and Chinese restaurants. I would prefer something more convenient to attractions. We were supposed to have a room with two single beds but they didn't have one for us and I had to sleep on a roll-away bed.

Review:   Had to carry 5 heavy bags of luggage down the stairs in lobby with no help even though we were struggling. The room was very small and dirty. The bathroom had a lot of hair. NO FREE WIFI? There was no water in room and the mini bar is all the way down in the lobby and they didn’t even take cash. My family had to share towels because there was only 2. Awful night noise. The one bed was actually just two small beds with a crack between. The receptionist barely spoke English. Would rate none if possible.

Review:   I paid a considerable amount extra (and being valentines day it was already double the usual rate) to book a suite with a big balcony instead of a room, being an 18 floor building you would think theyd be at least a few floors up. Nope! my suite was on floor one and the only thing my balcony faced was a desolate & unpainted brick wall and into the rooms of a few others on the floor. At least the cheaper rooms had a view of something other than brick, graffiti & cigarette butts. On arrival to the room the carpet was wet and had 2 giant water marks in the main area. I told the lady at the front desk and she couldn't care less and told me there were no rooms left and to deal with it! (I get that its valentines day but still) Overall very disappointed with the staff, the room and the exorbitant amount of money i paid for such little quality. I stay in Sydney a lot for work and I think i will be taking my business elsewhere in future. I would definitely think twice before booking here and look at a few other alternatives first.

Review:   The rooms are nice and the location is great but BEWARE OF NIGHT CONSTRUCTION UNTIL 2019. DO NOT stay in any of the hotels on George St if you want a good night sleep until construction is complete some time in 2019. Read and understand the parking policy. If you stay beyond 11am the parking lot company will ram you up the ass... dry! You've been warned!!!!

Review:   I thought this Hotel was overpriced. A bit run down in halls. Needs painting/cleaning. Rooms very nice but could be cleaner. Hair in bath. We were upgraded to a suite on Sussex St, so roadworks noise was minimal. Beds very comfortable. Staff very friendly. However, chose this Hotel for bath facilities. Went to have a bath but no bath plug. Rang reception to get one. Was told they didn't have one. Why have a bathtub but won't supply plug. Used the kitchen one which didn't fit but used it upside down with my foot firmly placed on it. Not relaxing.
