Aroko Bungalows are snugly nestled amidst swaying palms and fragrant tropical flowers beside the peaceful waters of Muri Lagoon. Overlooking historic Avana Passage where the seven canoes set sail for Aotearoa (New Zealand) in the 1300's, Aroko Bungalows take full advantage of this magical South Pacific location.

Our bungalows are comfortable, self-contained units featuring kitchen facilities, insect screens, and a locked safety box. Towels are changed every two days, complete full service every four days. Complementary coffee and tea are supplied on your first day.

Six of our bungalows face east offering expansive views across the lagoon to the three motus (small islands) of Muri Lagoon. To see the moon rise between two of the motus on a clear evening is an experience never forgotten.

An easy two minute stroll along the beach brings you to the best snorkeling, sailing and canoeing opportunities on Rarotonga as well as a perfect beach for just lying back and relaxing in the sun.

Aroko Bungalows in Ngatangiia Village is located within easy walking distance to two grocery shops, the popular Flame Tree and Sails Restaurants, Pacific Resort, rental vehicles, Internet café, Avana Harbour, and inland mountain trails.

The island bus service stops at the front of Aroko Bungalows. They provide a round-island service every half hour on weekdays plus an evening and weekend service.
