Overview

The Verandah Resort & Spa provides a stunning setting for romance, family fun and sumptuous indulgence. Nestled along Antigua's pristine northeast coast, this eco-friendly luxury resort encompasses 30 spectacular beachfront acres traversed by hiking trails and bordered by Devil's Bridge National Park with its dramatic landmark rock arch.

The Verandah offers a range of dining experiences in three exciting restaurants, operated under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Rajah Pillay. All three restaurants are centered in an expansive, centrally located activities complex on The Common, overlooking the pool and manicured grounds. It's a meeting spot for old friends as well as a place to make new ones.

Guests will get that relaxed, on-island feeling from the moment they arrive at The Verandah, and are welcomed with a refreshing fruit punch. A total of four bars will keep Verandah guests cool with a wide range of signature cocktails, top-shelf liquor, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages by the glass.

The Verandah Resort & Spa caters to all ages. Verandah lies adjacent to a National Park and its grounds incorporate marked nature trails, two soft white-sand beaches and tranquil waters on a protected covelike bay - just perfect for swimming or snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters. The resort's expansive, shimmering free-form pool is the island's largest, an excellent spot for lounging in the sun or enjoying a cooling dip.

The Verandah offers nonmotorized water sports, including windsurfing, Sunfish sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, and hobie-style catamaran sailing. On land, guests can partake in tennis and table tennis, or enjoy the spacious, well-equipped fitness center. Younger guests are sure to enjoy fun and games at the beautiful Kid's Club.

Guests can also enjoy a short walk to the nearby historic Devil's Bridge attraction for excellent photo opportunities. The uninhabited island sanctuaries of Green Island and Bird Island also are accessible by a short boat ride. Sightseeing, dining and shopping in historic St. John's are only 30 minutes from the resort by car, as is Antigua's international airport.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Great place to stay! The staff are super friendly and do everything they can to make your stay as relaxing as possible. The food was good, first time staying in a villa style resort a little bit more walking to and from places but it's good exercise. Grounds are very well kept. Mini putt course is a nice touch, played it everyday. Only complaint would be the bed was very lumpy but sounds like it was just my room other people enjoyed theirs.

Review:   Good hotel, well run, plenty of activities, nicely laid out, staff very friendly. Beaches great but not if you're a swimmer due to sea grass. Antigua is a lovely island with delightful people

Review:   A very relaxing week! Loved the beaches, the food, and our hillside room was perfect for us. Verandah has lots of families with young kids. The adults-only pool was a nice spot to relax at, with lots of shade options. Free WiFi at the main pool wasn’t too fast, but enough for essentials. We ate at Nicole’s one night and really enjoyed it, and the buffet had great food options all week. A nice option we didn’t know about prior to arriving was the ability to get a free day and/or evening pass to the adults-only sister resort Pineapple Beach Club, where we spent some time on the beach and had lunch and dinner for no additional cost. Definitely would recommend Verandah!

Review:   The wonderful staff here are genuinely happy and warm. They really make this resort a great place to relax and enjoy. The food at The Verandah is also deserving of the 5 star rating. Stunning views and and so many sights to take in make this location my favourite resort to stay. Family friendly as well. Thank you so much to all the staff and the management team here at The Verandah! This is my second time staying and and will not be my last.
