Overview

The Verandah Resort & Spa provides a stunning setting for romance, family fun and sumptuous indulgence. Nestled along Antigua's pristine northeast coast, this eco-friendly luxury resort encompasses 30 spectacular beachfront acres traversed by hiking trails and bordered by Devil's Bridge National Park with its dramatic landmark rock arch.

The Verandah offers a range of dining experiences in three exciting restaurants, operated under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Rajah Pillay. All three restaurants are centered in an expansive, centrally located activities complex on The Common, overlooking the pool and manicured grounds. It's a meeting spot for old friends as well as a place to make new ones.

Guests will get that relaxed, on-island feeling from the moment they arrive at The Verandah, and are welcomed with a refreshing fruit punch. A total of four bars will keep Verandah guests cool with a wide range of signature cocktails, top-shelf liquor, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages by the glass.

The Verandah Resort & Spa caters to all ages. Verandah lies adjacent to a National Park and its grounds incorporate marked nature trails, two soft white-sand beaches and tranquil waters on a protected covelike bay - just perfect for swimming or snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters. The resort's expansive, shimmering free-form pool is the island's largest, an excellent spot for lounging in the sun or enjoying a cooling dip.

The Verandah offers nonmotorized water sports, including windsurfing, Sunfish sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, and hobie-style catamaran sailing. On land, guests can partake in tennis and table tennis, or enjoy the spacious, well-equipped fitness center. Younger guests are sure to enjoy fun and games at the beautiful Kid's Club.

Guests can also enjoy a short walk to the nearby historic Devil's Bridge attraction for excellent photo opportunities. The uninhabited island sanctuaries of Green Island and Bird Island also are accessible by a short boat ride. Sightseeing, dining and shopping in historic St. John's are only 30 minutes from the resort by car, as is Antigua's international airport.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The wonderful staff here are genuinely happy and warm. They really make this resort a great place to relax and enjoy. The food at The Verandah is also deserving of the 5 star rating. Stunning views and and so many sights to take in make this location my favourite resort to stay. Family friendly as well. Thank you so much to all the staff and the management team here at The Verandah! This is my second time staying and and will not be my last.

Review:   Excellent in customer service. Friendly staff and excellent location for all. Single, family and couples. Very spacious and well laid out. It offers day passes from 9:30am to 6pm. Take advantage if you visit the island on a cruise and use the facility. Unlimited food and drinks and non motorised water sports. Reasonably price.

Review:   Very impressed by The Verandah - we took our whole family (3 kids, one of whom was a baby at the time) and though we had to navigate a few stairs with a stroller, it was very doable. Staff was attentive and food was great. They had many activities for the kids, as well as for adults. Wifi was a savior when I had to get a little work done. Would absolutely go back sometime and recommend to others.

Review:   2nd time back. Was there 6 years prior. This time around very disappointed with the accommodations and food. Rooms need updating. More selections at buffet. We had cockroaches!!! Although they came to spray when we notified them, 3 rooms later and we never got a break. They were everywhere. Made our stay uncomfortable. Quite honestly we didn't get one decent night sleep. It was gross and made us paranoid. For what we paid it was not worth it. Too bad really because beach was beautiful and staff were lovely.
