Through commentary on politics and cultural heritage this new wave of Chinese artists have provoked viewers from all around the world and has slowly become the hub of the most forward thinking ideas around. On this tour you will explore the famous M50 art district which is home to some of the best known galleries within the microcosm of Chinese art. Diving head first into the Shanghai art movement will provide the perfect understanding of how it has made a name for itself today while always breaking the ceiling of the future.

The M50 art complex is a former textile mill in central Shanghai that was converted into an extensive compound dedicated to galleries and art exhibitions. Based on your interests and the current exhibits your stops may include: ShanghART, OV Gallery, Island5, OFOTO and m97. You will gain an interesting understanding of Shanghai's role in 20th century art with an in depth look at everything from "Cynical Realism" to "Political Pop."
