Your historic journey begins in the center of Rabat, a town situated on the outskirts of Mdina. Here, you'll visit St. Paul's Catacombs, a series of underground chambers that were once used as a burial ground. An eerily intriguing history oozes out of the walls of this subterranean structure, offering a unique experience for all.
In Rabat, you'll find the best pastizzi, a local delicacy consisting of crispy dough that is filled with sumptuous ricotta cheese. You won't be able to resist the chance to sample these savory treats.
Next, we'll arrive at the Roman Domus, an authentic Roman house in the center of this historic town, which boasts many original features, including a beautifully intricate mosaic floor.
Your day continues onward to the silent city of Mdina, the old capital of Malta. The city is brimming with grandiose palaces and majestic homes that you may explore at your leisure. The city itself comes off as a living museum, with magnificent examples of architecture and history greeting you around every corner.
