Guayaquil Historical Park And Authentic Hacienda VisitExplore > Ecuador > Guayaquil > Guayaquil Historical Park And Authentic Hacienda Visit
OverviewExplore the Historical Park of Guayaquil, and then visit a real hacienda! Located on the western banks of the Río Guayas, Guayaquil is Ecuador's largest city, the country's chief seaport, and industrial and commercial center. This city tour will introduce you to the most interesting parts of the city, plus the municipal museum. Starting from the pier you will drive through the center of Guayaquil as you get acquainted with this city during a short panoramic tour. You will pass by the most interesting sights of this huge city. Afterwards you will cross the river and arrive at the interesting Historical Park of Guayaquil. The Parque Histórico Guayaquil is a project of the Central Bank of Ecuador, an attempt to recapture our culture for our children. This Park is an invitation to discover our profound sense of identity. Once inside the park, meander over wooden boardwalk trails and find yourself transported to a world where past becomes present. In one beautiful journey, you will see before your very eyes the species that used to populate the ancient province of Guayas, from deer to tapirs, monkeys to wild cats. You will discover an amazing world, and at the same time discover that nature is an essential part of our lives and not just something to admire from afar. You will then find yourself in a late nineteenth century suburb. The streets and houses bring you a little closer to our recent past and let you enjoy the experience. Finally, walk through a reproduction of the local countryside to a hacienda of the day, with its buildings, traditions and its wealth. You will discover the way in which the work is done in the hacienda and discover this unknown side of coastal life, a side which has remained virtually unchanged since the colonial era. Return to the pier. All transportation, a great English-speaking guide, entrance fees, and bottled water are all included. Food, beverages, and gratuity are not included.
