OverviewSpend the day on this majestic wine and riding estate. You will be picked up at the cruise ship pier by your English speaking driver, who will who will take you to the Casa do Cadaval. This magnificent wine and horse estate, founded during the 12th century, is home to one of the most beautiful Portuguese Palaces. Upon arrival at the estate you will be welcomed by the master rider at the Riding Hall, and will have the opportunity to ride a Lusitano Stallion for a classical dressage lesson. After this unforgettable experience you will get a chance to taste the wines of the estates - several different varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir) - as well as selected blends such as Padre Pedro, Herdade de Muge and Marquees of Cadaval. The house oenologist will discuss the "secret" flavors while you taste. Following your tasting, you will be invited to lunch at the Place by the owner of the Domain. After lunch you are in for a very special treat: a cart, pulled by two noble studs, will take you around to explore this very unique farm, traveling through the vineyards and natural reserves where you will meet the mares and foals. Your day is almost over, but before leaving, tea will be served by the lake in a magic scenery of tranquillity. You certainly will not want to leave when it is time for your driver to take you back to the cruise ship! The price of this tour includes all transportation, a great English-speaking driver, the wine tasting, and lunch. The drive from Lisbon to Casa do Cadaval will take about an hour and 10 minutes.
