Panoramic Sintra And The Estoril CoastExplore > Portugal > Lisbon > Panoramic Sintra And The Estoril CoastOverviewA whirlwind tour through Sintra and the charming Estoril Coast! This tour will take you to the charming Estoril Coast, home to famous beaches and the pretty towns of Estoril and Cascais. About the town of Sintra and its natural surroundings, we can say that it is one of Portugal's ex-libris, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site! Enjoy your ride and the land surrounding Lisbon as you make your way to Sintra. Although your driver is not a licensed guide, he/she can give you some limited information about the area. Sintra is a mix of natural and manmade beauty: fantasy castles set amid exotic tropical plants, lush green valleys, and craggy hilltops with hazy views of Lisbon and the Atlantic. Enjoy a walk through the typical historical center. Your journey continues to Cascais. Once a small fishing village, this town has managed to maintain its seafaring traditions while melding with the aristocratic and royal presences of the late 19th and early 20th century. Passing through its animated town center, you’ll find cosmopolitan life comfortably co-existing side-by-side with maritime traditions. From this area, you'll also have a great view of the Estoril Casino and its gardens. On your return to Lisbon, your driver will take you on a panoramic drive along the coastal road of Estoril, known as the Marginal Road. Running parallel to white sandy beaches and amazing 17th-century fortresses, the Marginal Road is one of the most beautiful and charming itineraries of all the Lisbon surroundings. - Cruise ship passengers will be met at the cruise terminal by a representative of the tour company, who will then escort you to your touring vehicle, about a 5-10 minute walk from the pier. Hotel guests will be picked up at their hotel. - This tour does not include a licensed guide, rather an English speaking driver.
