Saint John has over 400 years of recorded history, including old cemetaries, old homes, and the finest collection of Victorian structures in Canada. With such a rich history, it's no wonder that this city is rife with strange and haunting occurrences!
Your guide, an expert storyteller who has been sharing the history of Saint John since 1978, has collected these haunting stories and will take you to the places where they have occurred...even unto the present day.
Hear about the ghost of Daniel Keymore, a fisherman whose boat capsized on the Bay of Fundy. Perhaps you'll come across a sighting of the famous traitor, Benedict Arnold. You'll also hear the harrowing stories of the ghost of Major General Studholme and the brave Lady La Tour.
The tour will bring you to the final resting place of 13,000 Loyalist Settlers, many of them unhappy as their sacred resting spot has lost all but 200 of its markers. The tombs that remain tell a poignant story of loss, hardship, and sorrow.
