Our tour begins with a stop at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, one of Canada’s finest private art galleries with close to 2,000 works of art in its permanent collection. A highlight is Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali’s 13’ x 10’
Santiago el Grande. Our tour of Fredericton's cultural gems continues at Gallery 78, a landmark building on Fredericton’s cityscape. One of New Brunswick’s oldest commercial galleries, Gallery 78 exhibits the work of distinguished contemporary Canadian artists and promotes young and promising talent, especially from New Brunswick.
Another important aspect of Fredericton's cultural life is its internationally famous artisans that create crafts in a variety of mediums, including pewter.
We'll enjoy a guided tour at a local pewter manufacturer, where you'll see pewter being spun into beautiful hollowware and molten pewter cast into jewelry. Browse the gift shop for beautiful jewelry, ornaments, and gifts created in pewter.
