Get off the beaten path and explore the Annapolis Valley during this sensory-filled tour!
Begin your day with some fresh coffee at the Just Us Coffee Factory in Grand Pre, a fair trade business known for its high standards of quality. During your visit, you'll have time to sample the many satisfying brews that they offer.
Next, we'll travel along the old road through Wolfville to Port Williams and the village of Canning. Then we'll climb up North Mountain to the Blomidon Lookout for a wonderful view of the Annapolis Valley and the Minas Basin. On a clear day, you can see 100 miles of the Annapolis Valley floor.
Your travels continue through the valley floor to the Between the Bushes Restaurant, where you'll enjoy a lunch break on your own. The restaurant, which sits in the middle of a high bush blueberry field, offers a variety of dishes with something sure to please everyone.
Your day would not be complete without a sampling of local wine. In the Annapolis Valley, there are five different wineries. We'll visit one of the lesser known wineries, Gaspereau Winery. Located in the heart of farming country, this winery produces all of their products independently. Along with the wine, you can taste some delicious cheeses such as Stirred Cheddar, plain and herbed Gouda, plain and herbed Havarti, and other favorites.
After the tasting, we'll travel to Hennigar’s Farm Market, where you'll have the opportunity to buy local produce and luscious ice cream, before ending your full day in the Annapolis Valley.
