Private Sail The South Shore Of CharlottetownExplore > Canada > Charlottetown > Private Sail The South Shore Of CharlottetownOverviewHard to believe but sometimes the best experience off a cruise ship is a fine sailboat on the water. You'll be blown away by the glory of the waters from Charlottetown Harbor to the Atlantic Ocean. As soon as you disembark your cruise ship, you will understand the pull of this island. It is exciting to be in the midst of the many sailboats and powerboats that line the waterfront piers. Your captain and crew member will greet you at the largest charter sailboat on Prince Edward Island and promise that this sailing trip will be smooth and easy--even on windy days when they take "the high road," which is to say that they will stay in the inner harbor for comfort. On this sailing trip, you'll see the south shore of PEI with its rocky sandstone cliffs and beautiful beaches. The south shore boasts some of the warmest water for swimming in Atlantic Canada and the balmy breezes will radiate around you as you learn to sail or just relax and take in the breathtaking scenery. This vessel is well equipped and coast guard approved and is a very smooth sailing craft. If you choose, you may participate in the activities on board such as adjusting the sails or the thrill of taking the helm on a powerful 36-footer known for its speed and agility. Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife as this area boasts many birds, including blue herons, ospreys, bald eagles, terns, and sandpipers, as well as ducks and geese. After leaving Charlottetown Harbor, there are two islands within easy sailing distance--Saint Peters Island and Governors Island. - The boat is licensed for up to 12 people, however, we recommend 10 people for your personal comfort. - The boat has full washroom facilities and a galley. - Upon request, we can add snacks and beverages for an additional cost (no alcohol). - This tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. - You may not bring alcohol on board the sailboat. - This excursion isn't available from October 6th - April 30th.
