Stretch your legs. Windmill your arms. Lock in your helmet. You are about to soak in the sights, smells and sounds of Hoi An the best way ShoreTrips knows how. After being met by your guide right off the pier you will make your way, by vehicle, to the Thu Bon River to start your cycling journey. In Vietnam bodies of water are vital to every day living and you won't find one more important than the Thu Bon River to Hoi An. Both economically as a fishing town and culturally as a hub of entertainment the banks of the Thu Bon River are the main veins of this well preserved world heritage site in central Vietnam.
As you make your way through the heart of Hoi An you will approach the Thuan Tinh Ecological center which will show you the daily practices of the local villagers. Have your camera on hand as you observe areca-nut gardens, family shrines, folk games and fishing traditions in the town that elegantly translates to "peaceful meeting place." As you continue to cycle along quiet inland trails and past water-coconut palm trees, fishing farms and rice paddies you will reach the beautiful Cua Dai Beach. This tranquil location offers beautiful views and provides the perfect wind down from your day on the trails. While heading back towards Hoi An's city center feel free to discuss with your guide your options for the rest of the day. From a sit down lunch with shopping to a stop at the Tra Que Village the choice will be yours for how you would like to spend your final few hours in this cultural crossroads!
