Overview
Enjoy a famous Argentine steak and authentic displays of traditional gaucho horsemanship!
This lovely excursion is an excellent opportunity to get in close touch with the Argentine Gauchos and traditional music and dances.
Today you will go to visit the Estancia Santa Susana, situated in the countryside of Buenos Aires (Los Cardales, near Lujan), the famous Pampa of Argentina. The estancia Santa Susana is a beautiful country residence of an old ranch.
Travel into the Argentine countryside to taste some great steak and see the famous Argentine Gauchos. When you arrive at the Estancia you will be welcomed with typical empanadas. Stroll around on the farm, take a horse and carriage ride, visit the museum, or watch the Gauchos preparing your barbecue. Called asado al asador, this meal mainly consists of empanadas, home-made salame, chorizos (hot sauces), chinchulines, steaks, vacio, matambre, different salads, and typical desserts. Coffee, red wine, beer, mineral water, and soft drinks will also be served.
At noon, everyone will sit down together for a barbecue lunch. Afterwards, gauchos will play typical music and show how they used to dance in the pampa. Then you will hear hooves...the gauchos have mounted up, and when they begin their displays of horsemanship you will get front row seats. Their skills seem almost unbelievable, but these men do almost literally live in the saddle - riding for them is like walking for us!
Food and beverages are included in the price of this tour.
