This is the comprehensive walking exploration of Lubeck’s interesting history, enchanting architecture, and thriving present!
We'll begin this tour with a wonderful scenic drive from Kiel to Luebeck. (1.5 hours). During the drive, your guide will fill you in on all of the history of the region.
Next, we'll have about 2.5 hours of sightseeing. See all major spots of interest in historical Luebeck, plus enjoy some free-time in the city center of this vibrant former member of the Hanseatic League.
Start at the impressive Holsten Gate (Luebeck’s old fortification wall) and walk through the narrow, cobblestone streets and courtyards. The major highlights of St. Mary’s Church and Holy Ghost Hospital will both be seen from inside while the Town Hall with its interesting architecture mix will be explained from outside.
The guide will also include stories from the colorful history of Luebeck (including Noble prize winning author Thomas Mann).
Discover the charming old town declared as world cultural heritage by the UNESCO.
On a walking tour you will discover the historic alleyways and courtyards which are remnants of XIX century when the trade of the Hanseatic League was in full bloom.
