This is an ideal experience for those of you who love the idea of exploring Old Madrid at night, visiting undiscovered restaurants, and indulging in authentic Spanish food and wines.
Join us for the only tapas tour in Spain where the dishes are paired with excellent wines. (No beer or cheap house wine here!)
Our guide, who is a real Madrileño and a member of the Spanish Wine Tasting Association, will lead the way as we stroll through the most enchanting corners of Historic Madrid, past local haunts that are mostly unknown to tourists.
This gastronomic adventure begins by taking a step back in time. We'll visit one of the oldest taverns in the city, where we'll enjoy the white wine on tap that became fashionable in the roaring '20s and has since become the symbol of the authentic Madrid tavern.
At our second stop, we'll sample different umami-rich foods (those with a pleasant "brothy" or "meaty" taste) with Sherry wine Amontillado.
The third and final destination is located in an area with mansions that appeared on the 1656 map of Madrid. Here, we'll taste a range of tapas with different white and red wines from our guide's private cellar.
