Hike Costa Brava's Cliffs And CovesExplore > Spain > Barcelona > Hike Costa Brava's Cliffs And CovesOverviewExplore the Costa Brava on foot, through hiking trails and coastal villages. North of Barcelona, the coastline begins changing rapidly into an amazing picturesque landscape. This trip to the Costa Brava takes you along secluded beaches and rugged cliffs, where dramatic rock formations, crystal clear water, and secluded coves abound. From the panoramic cliff-tops down to the water’s edge, there are age-old trail routes that wind from village to village, rewarding you with priceless views of the Spanish and French Mediterranean and quiet coves in which you can swim, snorkel, and enjoy the sun. Our trailhead is found along a beautiful stretch of beach called Platja de Castell. As we follow the trail heading north, you'll find yourself walking through ancient history as we pass through the ruins of a 6th century B.C. Iberian village perched on a little peninsula overlooking the crystal clear Mediterranean, then continuing on the cliff-top path we'll be rewarded with amazing views of countless tiny coves and beaches below. At times we'll wind down through secluded coves and beaches where we can stop to relax and even take a dip in the sea (depending on the time of year and weather)! The hike comes to an end in the charming, white-washed fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell where you'll enjoy a great lunch at a seaside Mediterranean restaurant. - This tour includes a great guide, snacks, and water on your hike, and a delicious lunch in a coastal village. - The drive to the trailhead is approximately 1.5 hours each way. - This trip requires a minimum of 2 passengers. The maximum that can be accommodated is 8. - If there are only 2 people scheduled to take the trip when you arrive at your point of departure, there may be a 20€ per person fee for a private tour.
