Overview
Ride on a water taxi and a donkey all in the same excursion!
We'll set out on a nice 45-minute water taxi cruise along the east coast of the island all the way to Lindos, the most picturesque and popular village in all of Rhodes. Lindos has incredible whitewashed houses built on the hillside, an Acropolis, and amazing architecture.
The architectural style of the village is a mixture of Gothic, Byzantine Greek, and Middle Eastern influences. Lindos has wonderful painted ceilings and tons of traditional, distinctive, white and black "chochlaki" pebbled floors.
During your stay in Lindos, you can explore the village by strolling through the narrow streets with lots of great little souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants.
You'll even get the chance to go up to the Acropolis! It's a unique and cool place, especially due to the fact that no vehicles other than motorbikes, small delivery vans, and donkeys (you may opt to ride one up to the Acropolis) are allowed on the paved streets and little to no changes can be made to the buildings. In fact, many of the buildings have been there since the 15th century. Lindos prides itself on its ability to retain a wonderful sense of antiquity.
Later, enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal waters in the bay of Lindos, if you wish.
On the return trip, small swimming stops will be made at either Stegna Beach or Tsambika Beach and at Anthony Quinn Bay in Ladiko.
You will be given a detailed map and directions for the beach. The beach is free, however, if you want to use the umbrellas and/or chairs, they rent for approximately 10€ per person.
Food, beverages, and any admissions are not included in this tour, but there are many opportunities to eat great Greek food in Lindos and at the beach.
The boat has a capacity of 8 passengers.
