Small Boat Cruise, Private Walk, And Afternoon At The BeachExplore > Greece > Corfu > Small Boat Cruise, Private Walk, And Afternoon At The Beach
OverviewA leisurely boat ride, an easy walk, a great lunch, and then a sunbed - what could be better? Cruising on a small boat is one of the most pleasant and relaxing leisure activities on Corfu Island. This trip combines a wonderful small boat cruise with an easy 2-hour walk along the coastal footpath. In the shade of Mount Pantokrator you will follow the Durrell Trail, an area on the Northeast side of the island considered by many to be the most beautiful part. During spring time, the area is covered with orchids and other flowers. Your adventure begins when you embark on your fast boat at the port. Cruise in the direction of Barbati, enjoying the festive atmosphere and Greek music. Pass the picturesque fishing villages of Kaminaki, Nissaki and Agni, where you will start your walk in the shade of ageless olive groves. As you walk, you will get glimpses of the fabulous views of the shoreline below. Pass by the tiny shrine of Agios Arsenios, and continue along the path to Cactus beach. Here you will start a short climb to a track that takes you down to Kalami and the home of Lawrence Durrell, the British novelist, poet, dramatist, and travel writer. After following along the beach for a while you will come to Kouloura hamlet, where the Agnelli estate is located. At the small port here you will enjoy a coffee and a Greek sweet. Now continue along, past an old olive-press, onto a path that will take you to the closest point to Albania. Arrive at the unspoilt beach of Kerasia, where your boat will be waiting for you. Your captain will bring you back to Kalami, to a local Taverna right on the beach. Enjoy a genuine meze lunch, and afterwards relax and swim in the crystal clear waters. There will be one sunbed and umbrella available for every two people. The price of this tour includes coffee and a sweet, a taverna lunch consisting of a rich variety of Greek mezes and fruits, ouzo on the boat, and a great walking guide. Other drinks will be available on board the boat at extra charge. This trip requires a minimum of 8 people. The maximum number that can be accommodated is 16. There is a partial canopy on the deck of the boat to provide partial shade. This is an easy walk but good shoes are required. PLEASE NOTE that tour departure time is listed in local Greek time, not ship time. Please check with your ship's purser regarding the conversion between ship and local time. This trip is seasonal from May 15th-October 15th. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
