Food is a key element in getting to know a culture. The Cretan table represents a return to balance and companionship, and is an age-old journey entrenched in history.
This market-to-table interactive cooking activity is designed to offer participants a genuine insight into the island's cuisine. The program highlights the simple, healthy, and flavorful foods of Crete with traditional recipes that have been passed from generation to generation. Friendly and informal, it features hands-on instruction and home-cooked, seasonal food, along with cheese, wine, and olive tasting. The group is kept small (8 people maximum) to ensure an intimate setting.
Your cooking class will be hosted just in the outskirts of Chania at a local olive oil estate, a winery, or a rural retreat, exact location is dependent on number of participants and weather.
