Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Hotel now offering free WiFi, well done for acting on previous reviews. Nice rooms with comfortable beds. Easy walk into town centre with all the activities and restaurants, uphill walk back but hotel shuttle available if required hourly.

Review:   The staff where wonderful and very friendly and helpful... The hotel is self is lovely and very Quaint... But run down, our room had gaps in all the corners of the walls, and grout missing in the bathroom... If the price wasnt so high this would have been more acceptable... But everything is expensive and the entire hotel is showing massive signs of ageing internally... With a coat of paint and some basic maintenance it will certainly be a good place to stay again

Review:   The room was clean and comfortable though it could have been laid out better. The room could also use a wee freshen up but the bed was extremely comfortable. I'm also not a fan of a shower over bath, issue if you have mobility problems. Well it's only a short distance from town it does sit on a hill so again if you have health / mobility issues it's not an easy walk (If you like to walk) They do offer a (free) shuttle service every hour though. The pre-booked $20 buffet breakfast was ok. I found that the items I enjoy were all mostly well over cooked.
