Full Day Shopping Tour With Galleria And DuomoExplore > Italy > Milan > Full Day Shopping Tour With Galleria And DuomoOverviewWelcome to the capital of style! Milan has been traditionally shunted aside as a tourist destination. In recent years, it has seen a resurgence as a place to visit, assisted by the opening or refurnishing of its luxury hotels. It has become the destination for savvy travellers interested in excellent eating, the latest in fashion and design and Italy's best shopping. This tour includes: - Round trip transportation from your hotel - English speaking driver Visit/see: - Shopping in the Golden Triangle's famous high fashion shops - Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - The Duomo - Pinoteca di Brera art gallery (if time permits) Welcome to Milan, one of the world's top centers of fashion, design, style and art. Your tour begins with some great shopping in Milan's famous Golden Triangle, an area of high fashion shops just 10 minutes from Piazza della Scala, including Via Montenapoleone, Via Sant'Andrea, and Via della Spiga. It includes such shops as Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Chanel, and Versace. Now make your way to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a stunning arched glass and steel roof covered arcade that connects the Piazza del Duomo to the Piazza della Scala. Built in the 19th century, it is one of the world's oldest shopping malls. The central space of the Galleria has a huge glass dome above and four beautiful mosaics of the Coat of Arms of Turin, Florence and Rome below on the floor. Your next stop is the Duomo, one of the most famous buildings in Europe. Milan's Duomo is the second largest Roman Catholic cathedral, comfortably holding 40,000 people, and took almost six centuries to build. The white Gothic cathedral holds many monuments and artworks, including the former mausoleum (the most renowned artwork of the Cathedral), the St. Bartholomew statue by Marco D'Agrate, and a small red light bulb in the dome above the apse that marks the spot where one of the nails from the Crucifixion has been placed. If time permits, you will also visit the Pinoteca di Brera art gallery. At some point, stop for lunch at a great place that your driver can recommend. No food, beverages, admissions, or gratuities are included in this price. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
