Welcome to Taormina, located high on a mountaintop above the harbor. The town is known for its wonderful scenery as well as its position as one of Sicily's chicest resort towns.
Here you will get fantastic views of the sea and of nearby Mt. Etna, as well as a quaint medieval-village atmosphere.
Upon arrival in Taormina you will visit The Teatro Greco, the most impressive monument of the city. The theater was originally built by the Romans in the 3rd century, and it has been used to host everything from musicals to gladiator.
Of course, Taormina is also known for its shopping, and you will have plenty of time to wander through the boutiques and cafés along the stylish Corso Umberto.
If you like, you might also visit San Nicolo di Bari, the 13th century Duomo, and the Public Gardens, home to some 200 different plants and a lovely pagoda.

Please note that many of Taormina's shops are closed in the afternoon.
