OverviewOur tour shows you a residential city by taking you through the oldest and most charming parts. Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and a lovely seaside city. It is one of the top centers of design and it only make senses that its gastronomic and cultural offerings are far more sophisticated than other cities of this size. During this tour of the Danish capital, you'll view all of the major sites that give this city its old world charm. We'll begin by passing by Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Tivoli Gardens, the world's oldest Royal Stock Exchange, and Christiansborg Castle, which today houses the Danish Parliament and the Supreme Court. Your driver will take you past the docks at Nyhavn, where sailors celebrated in days gone by. It is now a lovely part of the city with gourmet cafes and bars. Next, we'll reach Amalienborg Castle, the prime residence of the Danish Royal family. Here, four identical palaces surround the octagon square, one of the most beautiful in Europe, with the equestrian statue of King Frederik V in the center. The district of Amalienborg is all about royalty and all of the pomp and ceremony that goes with it. We'll also visit the Rosenborg Castle, one of the many castles built by the "Architect King" Christian IV in 1617. This pearl of a renaissance castle was built as the King's country house. Today, Rosenborg Castle is a Royal museum and the setting for the Royal collections, including the crown jewels, which are protected by the Royal Guard. You'll have entry to this three-story, turreted, Dutch Renaissance-style castle as it is an example of the charmed life of the royals. Of course, no tour of Copenhagen would be complete without visiting The Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale. The Little Mermaid is the most popular tourist attraction in Denmark and is one of the most photographed statues in the world. - Your admission to Rosenborg Castle is about €10, which you may pay at the entrance. - Food, beverages, other admissions, and gratuities are not included in the price of this tour. - This tour is only available for groups of up to 6 people.
